Furniture / Home Furnishing Needs

There is no program that provides free furniture, appliances or home furnishings on an ongoing basis. If you do not have your own appliances and cannot afford to purchase them, be sure the place you rent includes appliances. Occasionally, furnishings may be available for special populations, such as those who have been recently released from prison, fire victims, people moving from a transitional shelter, or teenage parents who need baby furniture. Most people who are looking for inexpensive furniture visit thrift stores or garage sales.

To get information about thrift stores near you, or for information about programs available for special populations, contact 211/First Call For Help at (216) 436-2000 or 2-1-1.
